Security and data handling

Last updated:

How DEXVANE handles access, accounts, and changes on client projects. No platform can be made risk-free; updates, backups, and monitoring reduce risk.

Accounts and access

  • Client-owned accounts and access are used where appropriate.
  • Hosting, domain, and licenses are paid by you directly, with accounts in your name where appropriate.
  • Ownership and rights to project deliverables are defined in the project agreement. Account ownership and handover are defined in the project agreement.
  • At handover you receive an access list and notes your team or any developer can use.
  • When a maintenance or server plan ends, current access details and information about backups are handed over.

Confidentiality

NDA available on request.

Changes and testing

  • Work starts after the scope and project terms are agreed in writing.
  • Where appropriate, changes are reviewed on a staging environment before production deployment.
  • Code review and testing before production deployment, including responsive behavior, key user flows, and basic accessibility checks.

Maintenance and server plans

  • A backup is made before updates, the site is checked after updating, and a problem caused by an update is rolled back as part of the plan.
  • Database backups are part of every plan.
  • A server that was set up elsewhere is checked when it joins a plan; if it doesn't meet the baseline, setup and hardening come first.
  • Monitoring alerts are reviewed during business hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. We don't offer an emergency or out-of-hours service.
