Mobile app development

iOS and Android apps for your customers or your team, built from one cross-platform codebase and connected to the system your business already runs on.

Illustration, not live data.

Apps that work with the system you already have.

  1. Apps for your customers

A mobile app for the people who already use your platform, portal, or service, working with the same accounts and the same data.

  2. Apps for your team

An app for staff who work away from a desk: checking tasks, updating statuses, and sending information back to your system.

  3. The mobile side of a web application

An app that shares its back end and data with your web application, so both stay in step.

  4. Back end and API for the app

If your system has no API the app can use, it can be built as part of the project. What exists and what is needed is checked during discovery.

When a mobile app makes sense.

An app makes sense when

  • Your customers or your team already use a system and need it on their phones.
  • The same tasks are done often, away from a computer.
  • You want your service available in the App Store and on Google Play.
  • The app has a back end to connect to, or you are ready to build one with it.

What's included.

Projects run with a written scope and agreed milestones. Timeline depends on project scope and requirements.

Discover

  • Who uses the app and for which tasks
  • The system the app connects to and what its API provides
  • Store accounts and access

Design

  • UI/UX design of the app screens
  • Key user flows, from sign-in to the main tasks
  • Revision rounds defined in the project scope

Build

  • One cross-platform codebase for iOS and Android
  • Back end and API, where in scope
  • Test builds you can review on your own devices

Release

  • Code review and testing on iOS and Android before release
  • Store listing details and submission to the App Store and Google Play
  • Handover documentation

Cross-platform by design, documented for your team.

One codebase serves both platforms. Where a feature needs platform-specific code, that is identified during discovery.

Project pricing depends on scope.

Starting at $15,000

The starting price covers a cross-platform app for iOS and Android with a limited set of screens that connects to an existing API. Final price is set in the written scope.

You get a written price before work starts. Changes to scope are agreed in writing first.

What affects the price

  1. Screens, user flows, and user roles
  2. Whether the back end and API exist or need to be built
  3. Integrations with other systems
  4. Design scope and revision rounds
  5. Support needed after release

Your app, in your accounts.

Ownership and rights to project deliverables are defined in the project agreement. Client-owned accounts and access are used where appropriate, including the store developer accounts the app is published under.

  • Reviewed and tested

Code review and testing before each release, on both iOS and Android, including key user flows.

  • A clear point of contact

Clients have a clear point of contact throughout the project, with written project updates. We work Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; communication with US clients is mostly asynchronous, with calls scheduled at an agreed time.

What to know before you start.

Good to know

  • Apple and Google review apps and updates before they appear in their stores. Whether and when an app is approved is their decision, under their rules.
  • New iOS and Android versions and store policy changes can require app updates.
  • The app can only do what the system behind it provides. Gaps found in discovery become part of the scope.

Not included by default

  • Store developer account fees and third-party service fees. Paid by you directly, with accounts in your name.
  • Separate native apps for each platform.
  • Marketing and promotion of the app.

Questions before you decide.

Do you build native or cross-platform apps?

Cross-platform. Apps are built with Flutter, or with Ionic and Capacitor, from one codebase for iOS and Android. Where a feature needs platform-specific code, that is identified during discovery and included in the scope.

Do you publish the app in the stores?

Yes. We prepare the release builds and store listing details and submit the app to the App Store and Google Play, where appropriate under your own developer accounts. Approval is decided by Apple and Google.

Can the app work with our existing system?

Yes. Apps connected to an existing system are the focus of this service. If your system has an API the app can use, we connect to it. If not, the back end and API can be built as part of the project or through API development & integrations. This is checked during discovery, before the scope is agreed.

Do I own the code?

Ownership and rights to project deliverables are defined in the project agreement. Pre-existing code, reusable components, and libraries are covered separately in the agreement, and open-source and third-party components remain subject to their own licenses.

How long does a project take?

Timeline depends on project scope and requirements. Milestones are agreed in the scope. Store review time is set by Apple and Google and is not in our control.

What happens after release?

Post-launch support can be included or provided separately, depending on the project agreement. It can cover fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features scoped in writing. Server care is available through VPS & server management.
